Biden’s $1 trillion infrastructure bill will be voted on Thursday; cryptocurrency exchange Huobi to clean up Chinese mainland clients by year-end
US Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi said on Sunday that the $1 trillion infrastructure bill will get voted on Thursday. The group that is against the bill insists that it must be held back until the bigger package on social welfare and climate change is ready. Supporters, however, argue that the bill should be enacted despite the progress on the larger package. Pelosi did not specifically address how to bring both sides into an agreement, but she implied that the final package that includes the infrastructure bill and the larger social welfare bill, will be less than $3.5 trillion.
The cryptocurrency exchange Huobi announced that it will clean up Chinese mainland customers by year-end, in an effort to comply with the crackdown measures from Beijing. Chinse regulators recently intensified the action. Cryptocurrency exchanges are now banned from providing services to mainland investors.
